Dr. Al-Shamery is a specialist and consultant in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), backed by a robust foundation in physics and engineering. His academic career began with a BSc and MSc in Physics, with his master’s research focusing on Optical Holography. He went on to earn his PhD in Engineering, where he specialised in digital holographic microscopy. His doctoral research presented groundbreaking techniques for reconstructing point sources from the Fourier transform modulus, greatly enhancing the ability of holographic microscopy to analyse self-assembling systems. These techniques allow for improved resolution and accuracy in imaging, facilitating detailed observation and analysis of self-assembling materials and biological systems, which are crucial in fields like materials science and biophysics.
Maitham brings over fifteen years of experience in higher education and collaborations with the aerospace sector. He has taught Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Robotics courses. Additionally, he has designed and constructed Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) robotics and is skilled in Siemens TIA Portal and 3D printing for prototyping testing.
